BetsyB!

I have been asked my a blogger about my identity and my background in this industry. I have been a buyer in the fashion industry for years. I thankfully do not have any ties with Philip Stein or Teslar... and boy, I am HAPPY about that! I would hate to be on either side of this battle. I am an informed consumer and identified this as a HUGE SCAM and built this blog to inform the public, since clearly no one from Philip Stein has the balls to speak up. Damage Control! For an established company it is surprising they don't have enough sense to speak out about this issue... or try something to save their ass. The more information I find out from bloggers the more interested I am in this scam. Unfortunately I have seen this happen a lot, one company trying to gain from another without giving them correct representation. It happens in the business world far too often, and it's unfair. It's an outrage. The most recent news I found out claims Philip Stein is not even putting the chips into the PS watches at all. Instead they are slapping on a mobius design and claiming it works/is Teslar. Of course I find out my information from blog sites, watch reviews, etc. but if someone with Philip Stein would come out and explain all of this then I would have more reliable sources!

  1. Did anyone ask Philip Stein directly. Why doesn't someone email them and post the response.

  3. I have wanted a PS watch ever since I first saw it in a fashion mag - pic of Madonna saying she bought one for her family & Oprah.. So I finally "invested" in one (as always I do the research after - never learn) from Neiman Marcus.com, and the picture of it online showed the face saying "Philip Stein Teslar" but when I got the watch yesterday, it was exactly as pictured except it just said "philip stein", no Teslar, however the lizard strap says "philip stein teslar" as well as the box, case and booklet that came in the box all say "PS Teslar". Very fishy! Also the back of the watch "case" still has the 2 copper chips (to still have Teslar chip appearance) but the words around each say "Multiple Frequency Technology MFT" rather than the teslar chips that read in the same manner "Quantum Teslar Technology Chip Made in USA". Also strange, it was described on NM.com as "Made in Switzerland" and nowhere on the watch does it say where ANYthing is made! First thing I've ever purchased or had that didn't say where it made! Very weird. So I called the "contact us" number on PS.com and told them and the guy said call PS Corporate and gave me the number (305)373-0037. He said all they do at the PS number is "sell the watches - that he can't see what I'm looking at to tell"; so I called PS Corporate and spoke to a guy who said "they stopped using the Teslar chip about 4 months ago and that the new technology is better that I'm actually getting 3 frequencies instead of just one". I asked, what are the other frequencies and is it better? He said, "the other 2 are Sun and Oxygen and yes it's better, company is using latest technology and always improving". I said, should I feel something when I put on the watch because I don't. He said, "some people do & some don't; I've been wearing the PS watch for years and haven't noticed any difference". I said, some people don't notice anything, you don't feel any improvements; I bought this for the health benefits". He said, no I don't feel any improvements or difference but some of my friends who have tried on my watch feel something immediately and don't want to take it off, so it just depends some people do and some don't". All very strange. Needless to say, although it's an attractive watch/strap, I justified the $730 spent only for the health benefits, and it all seems so shady that I believe I will return the watch. NM Online does accept returns for a full refund w/in 60 days of receipt. Please comment/advise.

  4. Absolutely return it! That is the same experience I had!!! It's unbelievable that even the guy at Philip Stein says the damn watch doesn't even work!!! When your own employees don't believe in the product they're selling-- you have a problem!!

  5. I'm returning it tomorrow. I contacted PS again and asked why they were still using the Teslar packaging/pamphlets & they said to save money and they're allowed to use them until they run out. So I asked if they would mail me the new info/pamphlet so I would know about the new technology on my purchase & they said when they get them - they're still being made... & that they're calling it "Natural Frequency Technology" for now so I don't even know where the watch I got fits in since it has "Multiple Frequency Technology"... So basically they did not offer to mail me anything to explain and legitimize their new "technology". This really pisses me off! I was finally able to buy the watch & it's no longer Teslar!

Did you try the Teslar watch they sell on TeslarTech.com for $159??

It's not attractive at all but if I could get feedback from someone who has one that it works I would buy it despite it's lack of fashion/selection.

  6. P.S.:
I'm thinking about getting a Michelle Urban Mini - at least it's Swiss Made, Swiss Movement, attractive & less expensive. Any comments?

  7. I have a Philip Stein Teslar watch and after reading your blog and comments, checked the back. It looks like the original Teslar watches. Phew! Reason being is that it's an older watch and I am not the original owner, so I was nervous there for a while.

So, my question is, how long are the chips supposed to last? I'm worried about how to I get the battery or chips replaced. I don't want to send the watch back to PS and get some non-Teslar chips installed. Or worse, a completely different watch.

Because of this change, I'm going to hold off on purchases of any PS watches for now. I was contemplating buying one as a gift, but now, I think not.

Regarding the non-Teslar chips, someone should tell Oprah about this! I'm sure she could get to the bottom of it. :)

  8. I was watching the Oprah show today and saw that she is wearing a beautiful, large, diamond-encrusted Philip Stein watch. Now, I wonder if she knows that it may no longer have Teslar technology in it? Which is what she admired it for in the first place!

See this review of the PS watches, for the original Teslar chips...

  9. I just purchased a PS watch while on vacation in St. Maarten. After getting home and researching it to see if I got a good price I stumbled on all this info. on the Teslar chips. Unfortunately I have the MFT chips! I did email Oprah as well as PS and the store I purchased from. I'll post my responses when I get them.

  10. Why hasn't this issue been litigated if Philip Stein is misleading the public by claiming their watches contains a specific chip when it does now? I have been reading a ton of comments and blogs around on the internet about this and am not sure what to make of it. I was simply looking for a nice watch to wear and the claim to health benefits was not the main reason I purchased the PS watch. I think the watch is beautiful but if the watch does not contain an actual part that the company claims it does, I'm astonished that this has not been litigated given the amount of complaints I've seen on the web.

    Any thoughts?

  11. PS watches don't have TESLAR CHIPS in them anymore. We bought PS watches @ Diamonds International in Scagway, AK 2 weeks ago they said they had TESLAR CHIPS in them. If you want TESLAR, go to their website. We are getting a refund from DI. We contacted TESLAR & this is what they said "Since we broke up, Philip Stein has been doing this all along & it has hurt us because people don't know & they think that it is us, or that something is wrong with our technology!!!!! For awhile, they even put their watches in boxes with Teslar on it & Teslar literature! You might mention this on Philip Steins blog & other blogs to warn people, especially about the cruise ships. Also Philip Stein needs to know that this is not correct! Most reputable stores have dropped them because of this, but they are still going strong on the cruise lines. God bless them (PS) with their product, just don't try to sell their metal alloy natural frequency for our technology! Ilonka Founder, Teslar

  13. Hi,

What is the difference between the following? Quantum Teslar Scalar Wave Technology vs Teslar Quantum Technology Chip Made in U.S.A. Is the "Chip Made in USA"" the oldest then the QTSWT version and finally the newest NFT? Is the Scalar Wave one close or similar to the Made in USA version, but not made here? From the owners manual it looks like a chipped version not like the NFT version.

One last question if a watch is dropped can it misalign or damage the Teslar part of the watch?

    Any information is appreciated.

    Thanks.
